Is the Fresno Wheelmen club different than the Palm Leaf Wheelmen?
Von Schmidt of the Palm Leaf Wheelmen of Fresno and two companions arrived in this city last night, after making this trip all the way through the San Joaquin Valley on wheels. They had rather a hard time of it during the last part of the present week, but the trip as a whole was a pleasant one. S. H. Von Schmidt, O. J. Trot and another member of the Palm Leaf Wheelmen have successfully completed their tour a wheel from Fresno to this city and return. They made the run to this city in twenty-seven actual riding hours. From here they went to Napa, a distance of forty-two miles, in four hours and fifteen minutes.
They left Napa on Wednesday at 1 o'clock and eached Elmira, forty-eight miles, at 4:45 o'clock. Further travel on the bicycles was stopped on account of the impassable wagon road to this city, and the wheelmen took the train for Sacramento, whence they rode to Fresno.
