The Golden Gate Cycling Club is the latest addition to the clubs of this city. At a meeting held at the Golden Gate's headquarters, 228 Thirteenth street, last evening the following officers were elected: W. Fenstermacher, president ; E. Dwyer, vice-president: A. G. Maass, recording and financial secretary; A. Holler, treasurer; R. Siebe, sergeant-at-arms; Joseph Quadt, captain. The club will soon meet again to arrange for uniforms and club runs.
The Golden Gate Cycling Club recently adopted a uniform consisting of black bloomers, coat and cap, and white sweater. The club colors are lavender and yellow. Their captain contemplates a run to Camp Taylor as soon as the roada are in good shape.
Captain James Quadt of the Golden Gate Cycling Club has ordered his men out next Sunday for a spin to Haywards. The riders will probably appear in their new uniforms, which consist of dark navy-blue jackets and white sweaters and caps. The emblem of the club is a winged shield. Quite a number of the members are in training for race meets which will be held this summer.
The Golden Gate Cycling Club will have a run to San Mateo to-morrow under Lieutenant Quadt. Messrs. Heino, Allen and Lewis have been elected to membership. Captain Maass will ride to San Jose and return to-morrow.
