Serious Accident at the of the Colored Cyclers Picnic.

There was a serious accident late yesterday afternoon at the Oakland Colored Cyclers' Club picnic at Trestle Glen. A large delegation of colored people from this city and San Francisco attended the outing. The chief event of the day was the bicycle races, While one of them was being run Mrs. E. F. Chandler, of 972 Thirty-sixth street was struck by a wheelman who was making swift time. She was thrown to the ground violently and sustained a shock that rendered her unconscious. Mrs. Chandler was taken to her home in the police patrol ambulance, which was summoned from the city hall. Dr. Selfridge was called in and after an examination said tne injured woman was suffering from a very serious concussion of the brain.
